GLOBAL School Searches – Leadership Appointment Announcement
The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to join Lighthouse Primary and Secondary School (Mauritius) in announcing the appointment of Wikus Botha as the school’s next Principal (Head of School), to initiate service in preparation for the 2027 school year.
Wikus brings a strong record of educational leadership across Zimbabwe and Zambia, most recently serving as Head Teacher at Trident Prep Solwezi, where he led curriculum implementation, strengthened staff performance, and advanced community engagement. Prior to this, he served as Head Teacher at Trident Prep Kalumbila, guiding curriculum development, learning support, and the establishment of key school traditions, including the creation of an Outdoor Education Centre. His earlier leadership roles include serving as Principal of Shiloh Learning Centre and Head of Key Stage 2 at Trident Prep Kalumbila.
With a professional foundation in teaching English, History, Math, Science, and the Humanities, Wikus has taught at both primary and secondary levels and is known for his commitment to developing relationships, fostering student success, and working collaboratively toward a shared school vision. His academic preparation includes an MBA from UNICAF, an MA in Education from the University of South Wales, a BA in English and History from the University of South Africa, and a Diploma in Education from Midlands Christian Training Centre, complemented by extensive IGCSE training through the University of Cambridge.
Having worked in diverse educational settings across Zimbabwe and Zambia, Wikus brings a depth of tenacity, adaptability, and cultural understanding that has shaped his leadership approach and strengthened the school communities he has served.
